When the lights go dim, the spotlight shines.
I feel a tiny tremble seeping through my spine
'The world is watching' I told myself
Be stealth.

As the initial notes of the music ring
I know I have no more time to think
I took my first step
Without much prep

My heart then stopped its fast pace
A smile etched on my face
I realised that there is no need to be afraid
For I am no longer me
but a dancer I see myself to be.

PS: Sorry for the atrocious poem. I miss ballet. I miss dancing with my C4E.
