I went to London for a getaway two weeks ago and it was really good! One of the best weekends I've had so far.

I woke up late on the day I was supposed to leave because I was talking to my housemates until 1am/2am the night before. We were supposed to leave the house at 10am for a badminton game that day but we woke up at 10am instead :P Headed over to the sports village at around 10.15am and we played until 12.30pm.

I was being damn cheeky that day because I decided to wear the official Olympic jersey I bought while I was visiting China two years ago in hopes that someone would be dungu enough to believe that I actually represented China in the Olympic Games.

If you actually think no one is that dungu, think again.
Because I did hear some subtle remarks about it
:P

Anywho, we went for lunch before we went back home. We then watched a reality tv series before I went back to my room to pack up for London. Headed over to Rachelle's place before we went to the train station together.

Mr.Meanie was there at the train station to meet us. I insisted that we escort Rachelle to her cousin's place because it was really dark by then and she was rather clueless about the directions to that particular place. We then took several tubes before we reach her cousin's neighbourhood. Walked around for a bit because Rachelle couldn't recognize the street but we managed to find it after a while. We then headed back to Mr.Meanie's place for dinner. Honestly, I think the food in London is way cheaper than my kampung place ok. I spent about £5 for a huge plate of rice and a drink there but a plate of rice alone here is already £4.

The next day, we woke up early to meet up with my housemates who came to join us on our little sightseeing trip :)
After getting them from Kings Cross, we headed straight to Abbey Road :)

Meet my awesome housemates - Shanny and Aaron ;)

Houses along Abbey Road are really pretty!

When we reach there, I was pretty surprise that a lot of people were already standing by the side of the street, waiting to cross the road like how the Beatles do. It was pretty cool and funny at the same time because they would rush out to the road and pose in the middle even though there are cars. One good thing about it is that drivers here are really patient as they would actually wait for you to finish posing before they continue on driving. If you were to do this in Malaysia, I think you'd be rammed over already.

Abbey Road :)

Waiting to cross :)

I walked across the street for a couple of times just to get some good shots :) I was pretty scared that the car might just ram me over so I always sprint over the road once the picture is taken. I feel quite shy also to be honest

I like this!

Hahaha Mr.Meanie was not aware that we were crossing the road until I shouted his name.
So yes, this is our failed attempt to cross the crossroad like how the Beatles do.

Shanny and I were trying to take a picture with her brand new iPhone 4 ;)

We stopped by the famous Abbey Road Studios as well. The wall was filled with writings and drawings from fans. We wanted to sign our names on the wall but we didn't bring any pen :S We walked around a bit after that before heading over to Baker Street to visit the official Beatles merchandise store.

The Beatles Store

The store was really packed. I bought a T-Shirt and a metal Abbey Road plaque for myself :) Aaron actually bought a limited edition platinum record for his dad. That thing is really nice, I tell you! If I was a die-hard Beatles fan, I would have sapu everything in the shop already ;)

We stopped by a shop opposite the road for lunch. Okayla. The food on this side of London is pretty pricey :p We noticed a green shop next to the Beatles shop and we realized that it was actually Sherlock Holmes' museum. We went in there after our lunch :)

After that, we took a tube to St.Paul's to visit the famous cathedral. The place is really pretty! We walked around for a bit and took some pictures before we headed over to the Millennium bridge.

In the tube :)

Jumpshot!

Dad, you keep telling me that you've never seen my London friend right.
Here he is!

Group photo :)

The sole reason why I was so keen on visiting the Millennium bridge is because it was featured in Harry Potter 6 :P (Don't give me that look okay! Most of HP's filming sites are not in central London. I had to take every opportunity I can get )

I wanted to go to Tower Bridge but it was getting pretty dark already so we walked towards London Bridge before we went back to King's Cross for dinner.

Pretty lights under a bridge that resembles fireworks

:)

I have two drafts to hand in this week so I won't be able to update anytime soon!
Will miss all of you :)
